This week I am loving:

- Being home!
- My 3 kids
- The love of my life
- Not having to wake my kids from their peaceful slumbers at 6:30 a.m.
- Conversations with neighbors and friends
- Working on figuring out a daily routine with my two little cuties
- Mahlia's first haircut (officially)
- Joseph's successful trip to the dentist - no cavities!
- Jackson's high-fives and kisses
- My freshly washed windows and blinds (thanks John!)
- Being a stay at home mom.

Jackson Turns One!

Happy Birthday baby boy!!!

Things I love about Jackson:

- That toothy grin gets me everytime!
- When you wrinkle your nose.
- Your high-fives!
- You are such a good clapper.
- Your dimples.
- Your laugh.
- How you love to point to everything and "oooh! ooh!"
- When you bounce and sway to the music - any and all music!
- When you snuggle up and give loves to anything soft and squishy - pillows, stuffed animals...
- What a good eater you are.
- You have a great namesake.
- You love your big brother and sister.
- You are part of our forever family.
We love you baby Jackson!!!!

First Day of School 2008

What is it about that big yellow bus that when seeing your little boy get on for the very first time just makes you feel like it's the end of an era? I had really no worries about seeing my little boy head off to first grade - he's been going to school or daycare for years, so it's not like it was this big "stepping out into the 'real world'" experience for us. But, there's just something about him getting onto that bus and finding his seat - "who will he sit with?", "will the other kids be nice?", "will he be nice?", I was sooo worried about the whole thing. Joseph? excited as can be!! I kept asking him, "what's your bus #?" He would tell me without hesitation... Finally he assured me that he was good at memorizing and he wouldn't forget. Of course you are.... silly Mommy.

Anyway, Joseph had a great first day of school. He loves his new school, he's not sure about the whole "school lunch" thing, but he's a big fan of the bus and he's sure to make some new friends. He said everyone is nice at his new school except for one girl - but he didn't know her name. She was "cranky". (girls and hormones... poor thing...) ha ha!

Anyway, I can't belive my boy is in first grade. My heart melts and my eyes tear up when I think about him today. I wonder what he's doing right now....

Joseph's T-Ball 2008

John got some fun shots of Joseph's last t-ball game a few weeks back... thought I'd share. T-ball is definitely Joseph's sport. He loves playing soccer - but he really loves baseball.
