I'm honestly so embarassed to even be posting these pictures because my house looks like a torndato blew through - well, in fact, one did..... Her name is Mahlia.
I was EXHAUSTED last Sunday after we got home from vacation. So, I was just walking around half-asleep as we tried to go about the business of unpacking, starting laundry and such...
Well, I laid down on the couch to try to catch a quick snooze, John was unpacking and thought I was in with Mahlia and Jackson. I kept having this feeling - "Go check on Mahlia" but as I laid there and listened, all I could hear was a lot of giggling - oh, so cute, they're playing. "I really should just poke my head in" - "nah, they're fine, John's right there..."
Well, finally I couldn't take it anymore and as I walked into the hallway all I saw was every single blanket in the house laid as if it were rosepedals and a bride would be rounding the corner any minute. "uh, oh...." As I went in to Jackson's room I started to smell something very fresh. Humm.... As I entered the room the first thing I saw was Mahlia jumping up and down with the biggest possible smile! the next thing I saw was a white haired Jackson - what in the world. Then I put it all together - Mahlia was holding a now empty bottle of babypowder! It was EVERYWHERE!!! As she was bouncing in Jackson's crib it was snowing in his room. I swear the powder was a half inch thick on his head!!! As well as the carpet, changing table, crib, etc... At first I thought, "You have got to be kidding me!!!" and luckily my brain kicked in and I was able to just laugh!!! Hilarious. That must have been so fun!!! No wonder they were laughing so hard! But, now she gets to really experience "clean up"! Thus, the frowny face in the bottom picture.
Am I ready to start this full time? We'll see, starting two weeks from tomorrow!!! Wish me luck! I feel the real adventure is about to begin! Ü
P.S. The best thing about it being babypowder and not something else? At least it smells good!

They are just trying to break you in! It is so good that you can laugh at it all. Your "fun" moments are just waiting around the corner for your 2 weeks to end. You'll do great! BTW your trip looked so fun, especially the chocolate museum!
That is too funny!! At least you were able to get a good laugh out of it! Soon you'll be hearing the music of the pots and pans!
love it!! So funny!! Would love to have seen the mess
My kids did the SAME exact thing in their room! Kyle was going on about them getting lung infections while I was trying to clean up without being furious. Husbands and wives are sooo different. I'm glad messes of this nature happen at other people's houses, too!
How funny! Mahilia is such the little MOmmy and Jackson probably never made a peep!
How fun!
Mish. con't look back at the decesions you have made! It is the very best one for you and your family! You will have such a great time...there will be bad days, but the good will always out weigh them. I am ver excited for your family!! Let the games begin!!!! I lopve you! Mom
I am laughing my head off that was so funny! Don't you just love when you have those mother intuition moments and don't follow through. And it's always a lot of giggling or silence that means trouble. So cute!
