To sweep and to mop.... then do it again!
Okay, so, I feel like I am CONSTANTLY cleaning my hard wood floors. I swear I bring out the broom 25 times a day.... then on to my hands and knees cleaning up spills. There has got to be a better way! I know, I sound like the biggest wimp ever. I really am okay with this... it's all part of being a mom, I understand... but seriously, isn't there a better way? Any thoughts??? Suggestions?? There are a million and one little sweeper/floor cleaners out there - do they work? I wonder. Your thoughts, comments and suggestions would be appreciated! Ü

I think the best mops are the ones that you plug in and they have the disposable cloths on them. That is my next purchase. I don't know if they have some rotating brushes on them, but at our house, we need that. Right now I have a Swiffer push mop thingy with just the wet cloths you throw away, and it only works mediocre. I still have to get down and pick at the sticky junk that won't free itself. When I can finally afford a maid to come twice a month to deep clean--I'm doin' it!!
Ya, other than a maid here would be my suggestions: Let it go! Seriously wait until the end of the day, or even every other day and do it once. Put fuzzy socks on your kids and tell them to play soccer on the hardwood floor, then sit back and enjoy!
I can relate our floor is a disaster thanks to two dogs, mud, and such. It is only clean for 5 minutes after I mop it. So... I gave up. I try to sweep at least daily and then mop once a week. I have a Swiffer thingy too which is good for spot cleaning, but I got tired of pulling that out all the time as well. So I concur with Leslie try to let it go. Good Luck
Well, I say just use the garden hose! It's cheap and handy. You can even just hose the kids down too.
